Elephants

A few years back, Katja Schumann of the  Big Apple Circus enlisted my help
in placing one of the stallions in her liberty act who wasn't working out
(he did his job, but wasn't "happy", and Katja didn't feel it was fair to
him).

So when the circus did their Boston run, I went in and picked Laddie up. I
advertised him locally as a bombproof trailhorse "not afraid of elephants",
but no one around here thought that was a necessary criterion...

He ended up with a local Davenport lover who uses him as a pleasure horse
and occasional team penner.
