As a sidenote to this post...how many ridecampers has Nelson answered
questions for?  Plenty enough that I think he gets one once in awhile
whether it's 100% endurance related or not...discussing pads and wedges and
easy boots and shoeing techniques is all a part of owning horses whether we
ride endurance or not!  I don't think it's necessary for the word
"endurance" to be included in every single post in order for it to be
"legal".  However, some relationship to the equine world helps!
