Heidi,This sounds very familiar!  When it's time for worming and shots it's
always easy to tell the horses raised on the farm, because just walk into the
stalls, don't mess with halters, just a hand over the nose and we're done.  Shots
are equally as easy.
And sometimes you just have to find the right "trick" for things.  There was one
mare boarded there, that if we went into her stall to deworm her she body-slammed
us and fought like mad.  but if we put a halter on her, asked her to put her head
over the door, and did it that way she didn't fight.  Don't know why, but since
it worked we didn't worry about reasons.  She wasn't really hard to work with
otherwise.
