Re: wool pad FOLLOWUP

Wow! I got so many private queries after my post on wool pads, I thought
I'd post back my answers to Ridecamp:

> Do you ever sell them?????

No, sorry, I sew only for fun, for myself and friends. I learned a long
time ago that when I start sewing for money on special order, it's just
not fun anymore. There are others on Ridecamp who do, though, so perhaps
one of them will offer to make custom pads with this fabric.

> Did you use the snugglewool or the mediwool for your pads?

I think the raw fabric they sell is only of one type, and those two
designations refer to different types of products they make from that
fabric. I'm not sure, though. I just emailed them and said "I wanna buy
wool fleece for saddle pads" and that's what I got.

> Have you seen the toklat pads? Was wondering how this stuff compares?

I've only seen the Toklat pads going down the trail. :) Again, I've heard
only good things about them, but don't have personal experience.

> Do you mind me asking where you got the pattern for the pad?

I didn't use a pattern for the pads, just measured out my saddle and made
a pad that would go under that. However, I've used many other equestrian
patterns from SuitAbility (www.suitability.com) and I highly recommend
them.
