Sandy, We've always had good luck using duct tape instead of vet wrap. Once 
you get 1 round the hoof it sticks to itself even if the hoof was wet/dirty. 
Only get it high enough to keep the metal prongs from gouging the hoof wall. 
Don't wrap up over the coronary band, & be careful of the heel, too. Try to 
keep the tape down where the heel strap is in the easy boot. Now they've 
even got flat packs of tape that are really easy to carry.
