Re: Re: question about mares in heat

Yes Lif you are absolutely correct. That reminds me of another "foal"
story! Back in the 70's and 80's when appys were quite popular, some
people brought a mare into the stables down the road. She was a nice appy
mare and she had been bred to a really well known tb stud for a show/race
prospect. Those folks bragged like crazy on their mare and the sire to
their soon to be born foal. Well the day finally came. The people had
spent 3 nights with her and were there to see the arrival of their new
champion appaloosa. "Holy cow!!! look at the "EARS" on that thing!!! What
is that noise its making?!?!?" Apparently the stallion hadnt done a very
good job and the little donkey that ran in the pasture with her after she
was sent home, managed to do a much better job!! :-)))) The man who owned
the mare was furious. He wanted to foal to be destroyed. His kids were so
in love with this baby that he had to change his tune quickly , if he wanted
to stay living in the same house with the rest of his family. After a
couple of days, no amount of money could buy that adorable little mule.
:-)))) gesa n clovis
