RE: An idea for LD rides

>>>, how about 4 hours or so behind the 50s? If the
50s started at 6 and the 25s started at 10:00 or so, that should take care
of
any piling up problems. <<<

Just as the volunteers at vet checks, road crossing etc. hate to see HUGE
groups of riders arrive all the same time, having them too spread out can
cause problems too. Some rides have volunteers that will finish at one vet
check, then need to relocate to another. If the riders are spread out too
far apart, the ride management would need to round up even more volunteers
to be able to cover all the spots needed to accommodate those early riders,
and those that are riding at the cut off times. As the ride gets along in
the day, the riders spread out more and more, leaving some volunteers at one
spot for many, many hours.

Jonni who wishes riders would space them selves out nicely so I can get a
photo of everyone as they pass by, but not so strung out I am waiting all
day for the last rider.
