The one trail where we DO start the LD's first has a fork about 4 miles out
where the LD's take a different route. We've found that a 15-minute head
start will get them to the fork before the 50's get there. We caution
greenies NOT to wait around, or that very thing may happen. I've had a small
handful of green LD's opt to start behind the 50's to avoid ANY possibility
of being overrun. But we discuss it at the ride meeting so that folks can
make informed decisions.
