weaning question

Since things are pretty slow this weekend I hope you don't mind a marginally 
endurance related question!
Once a foal has been weaned & the mare dried up (say 2 months) can the mare 
come back to her milk if the foals are returned to the pasture & try to 
nurse??
We've never had to put them back together before, & I can't recall seeing 
this addressed anywhere.
