Not only that, if not hunted, they quickly overpopulate and then starve
to death during the winter.  They lost a herd of some 40 elk here last
winter....when they opened them up, all they had were tree branches in
their tummys :(((

We just had over $4000 in repairs done to our truck caused by a deer
jumping in front of us :(

We are all done, already got our cow elk and 2 does for the year :)

But, we don't take the horses hunting anymore.  The "city" hunters make
that too dangerous by forgetting the golden rule: don't shoot until you
are *certain* exactly what it is you are shooting at!  
I took an extra day to get my doe because of a buck that kept gettin in
the way :)
