Red Maple et al

I guess we don't have red maple here in Kentucky.  At least I don't have any.  I
do have sugar maple, silver maple , walnut , hickory , hackbury (horses love
this) and box elder.  My horses graze in , around and among these trees without
any ill effects.  Am I just lucky, the boys have there for years.
