I think all feeds recommend an overly generous amount to be fed....feed
more, buy more is what I think they want us to do!  Every animal is an
individual and should be fed accordingly...though we don't feed Strategy
now (we tried it, didn't care for it....I already feed added soybean oil)
we do feed something similar with a little more vitamins and minerals than
Strategy....what I do like (Strategy and our feed) is that you can feed it
to ANY horse, young or old.  Again, you have to adjust accordingly.  My
feed program changes frequently as I observe my animals.  My high school ag
teacher taught us that "The eye of the master fattens the calf."  This
holds true for any animal.
