easy boots

HI, since we're on the subject of easyboots I have a question.  Is there any
way to keep them from wearing out soon if you use them over rim shoes?  I'd
like to use them when riding hard packed rocky gravel roads but when I ride
in my pastures I need the rim shoes for the best traction.  My horses will
wear through the soles of the easyboots in just a couple of training rides
on the roads especially if they have just been shod.  Thanks and happy trails,
