Sidebones

Hi,
About sidebones... I ride a horse that in his younger days liked to walk
through the saggy wire fence (equine getto) where he lived, and during one
accident he apparently cut and irritated the sidebone so much that it is
huge, one of the biggest my vet had ever seen when we x-rayed him. He has
never been lame from the sidebone and the vet told me that as long as he
was kept active it would probably be alright and we have over 1000
endurance miles. Happy Trails !
