Re: RC: Slypner Shoes



My horse loved them.  When I can spring for it, I plan to use 'em
again.  They take the farrier some getting used to, and have some
quirks, but have definite value.  One point in particular is that the
farrier can let those ol' heels hang out there, and they won't overreach
and pull them off since the hoof side surface is so far above the
ground.  Nice for horses who need heel support.  Also, excellent
traction on pavement without being too "grabby" on other surfaces.  Lost
an insert a couple times when the plate got dinged up & wouldn't hold it
well, but like I said they took some figgerin out.
