Gydion had a group of raindrop sized white spots behind the withers for
several years - prior to EVER having worn a saddle.  My best guess is that
he had a chronic fungus infection on his back when I got him and it took me
two years to finally clear it up completely.  Guess what?  Where the hair
used to drop out from the fungus is exactly where the white hairs came in.
they have gradually turned back to bay over the next several years.
