[Karen Sullivan]  A couple of comments-his description of the saddle's construction sounds just like the Sport saddle in that the shape of the seat is pretty much the shape of the horse......I find the sport saddle very  balanced; but had to have stirrups moved way back.  It still remains the most balanced saddle I have ridden with-but hard to keep a leg on the horse; my legs want to hang away from the horse.

Still I agree with the concept-have always thought that it made more sense to do dressage bareback-then at least the horse could feel extremely subtle weight shifts and seat cues-you can't convince me that they can feel much with a stiff tree between the rider and horses back.
