Re: RC: Re: Today Show

Dear Phil;
I'm not sure whether the Today show's exposure helped or hurt our sport,
but it was nice that Valerie's horses looked so good. There are still
some uneducated people who believe endurance riding is a killer sport
where we ride malnourished, half-dead horses into the ground. Just the
other day a friend of ours proudly mentioned while visiting a
horse-owning set of relatives that I do endurance riding. They were
horrified and promptly told him what an awful thing endurance riding is
and how we hurt our horses, etc. He calmly looked at them and mentioned
that my horses looked a lot healthier than theirs did, and that my
horses were probably the most fit, happy horses he'd ever seen.

The public will believe the press implicitly, they always do. It is so
much more convenient than thinking! Baaaaaahhh.
