stumbling

Today was like a real trail ride with my 4 yr old mare. She has been
under saddle 5 months now, and today I felt like she was confident and
focused. We trotted a couple of good stretches, some with roots and
rocks, and we only tripped a bit over one root. It was like she grew up
over night and really got the hang of it today. I know the next ride
may not be as good, youngsters go back and forth for awhile. But it was
fun today. Are you riding alone or with an older more experienced
horse? I find going with my experienced trail horse (over 3,000 miles)
really has helped give her some of his confidence. We switch back and
forth from leading to following. Still a long way to go, but today I
think we might make it. Louise Kaycee( the new girl in the pasture)
