Mon, Wed and Fri rides are about 1-2 hours long each depending on time I get home.
Never get home before 6pm. Those rides are at all three speeds transitions etc.
Like to do interval training in the arena because i can most accurately judge even
distances. Havent been able to figure out the long trail distances yet just
reallly got interested and dont have any thing to measure with yet. the Sat and
sun rides are 4-7 hours long depending on how everthing feels, me and mule, and
are also at all speeds depending on how everthing feels.some of the areas we ride
dont have vehicle access so haven't figured how to judge the distances yet. and
there are quite a few hills and forested areas we have to go through, so speed
also depends on which trail we take. the mule is six and has had regular trail
riding since she was three. I'm gonna try some easy 25 milers and see how she does
before i make any real plans for her. I also have another mare three year old just
purchased in January that was in foal and foal was just weaned, but she may also
be considered as a second if the mule doesnt work out. but she needs time to
recoup from the foaling. she really lost weight even with all the extras she was
getting.
