Re: Loose horses on the road



Barb is right.  After reading this post and a lot of thought, I think I will
be happiest with myself if I just go try to fix the fence with some steel T
posts and wire.  :-)  I'll tell 'em the sheriff said they would get a big
fine if their horses got out in the roadway again and it would have broken
my heart if the mare had gotten out and been hit by a car (which is
certainly true), so I just decided to fix it since they weren't doing it
themselves.  Maybe guilt will compel them to keep their fences in better
order.  If not, in any case, we'll all be safer.

My horse is off for a week with his coronet puncture - which is healing
quite nicely - and I'm a little restless.  This will give me something
positive and horse-oriented to do.
