ROFL....don't let my husband see this!

You'd have to figure it costs a minimum of $4.50 per mile, on upwards of 
maybe $8.00 per mile.

That is considering direct costs like:

hay/feed
farrier
vet
ride entries
gas

Doesn't include:

insurance
time off of work
human food (figuring cuz you have to eat anyhow)
cost of horse purchase
cost of trailer/truck/equipment purchase
cost of tack

I have a spreadsheet.......it's a scary thing to admit to :-)  Now I gotta 
go hide this before my husband comes in or I'm gonna be in biggggg trouble!
