Re: Flat soles

My CTR horse has thinner flat soles and low heels (not a good combination).
My farrier said it's permanent. We use wedges on his shoes to protect his
heels on his front feet because he bruises more readily with those thin,
flat soles (I ride in dry, rocky terrain). I will probably use full pads or
Easy Boots over shoes for next season's rides. My farrier suggests using
full pads if I still have problems with bruising (none so far with the
wedges), but I would rather use Easy Boots only for rides if possible and
let the foot breathe most of the time. I don't like the idea of having to
coat the foot with toxic fungus killer to keep it healthy under the pads.

I don't know about #3. I'd be interested to hear what you find out.
