Re: RC: quality of heart rate.

Teddy,
I just wanted to state that maybe your right with P&R volunteers using
these things. Not to long ago, I witness a person volunteer for P&R's. When
a certain horse/rider came in to the vet checks this person rushed over and
took the P&R. To know one's surprise, of course the horse pulsed in 1st
every vet check that this volunteer was at. So by the time they went over to
the vet to get checked, of course the horse was down by the 15 - 20 min. hold.
I have witness this a few more times in the past but never would really
believe that it was so ... true. I have even witness this going on and when
the horse/rider went to vet in the horse was high still. Of course they clam
it was because they moved the horse around. Yes, that does happen but to
pulse in real fast and then just a little movement, 10 minutes later, would
make the horse go up, is not usually the case.
You know if people would just be honest and try and play the same game as
every buddy else, then we wouldn't have to go all out trying to out smart
them. Maybe someday they will just have a big scanner door that we can walk
our horse's through coming into the VC's, that way we won't need vet's or P&R
people! :) <G> :)
Tammy
PS - don't ask me who I saw, I'm not going there with this. You need proof,
before you say any names. I don't have that!
