Moral: if you're buying an Orthoflex, don't throw the idea of
saddle width out the window. It still matters.

It sure does. I have a western-style (Renegade?) OF which I bought from their place in Nevada, MO (drove for 2 days to get there). I took photos of my horse's back, and as Mr. Brown, the owner, came through and looked at those, he stressed to the lady who showed me the saddles that there should be at least a hand's width between the panels! I don't know, if they have different widths in the same models, but I spent half a day picking and choosing from what they had on site, not willing to order special. Lucky, I guess, that that one was the correct width.
