I'm trying to narrow my choices down, pretty much sold on the Ortho
Flex saddles. I particularly like the endurance cutback, stitchdown,
and Officer's Patriot. I come from a hunter background, currently
ride in a Stubben, but want more weight-bearing support from my new
saddle. I was told that the Patriot models have stirrups hung 2"
further forward than the "english" designs. Anyone have
thoughts/opinions on this? Currently competing in one of the above
designs? I do ride as a heavyweight. Also, has anyone tried the
"soft-steel" alternative to leather? Would you reccommend a skito
pad underneath, or just use the "booties"?
Would be very grateful for input.
