1/2 Arab/1/2 Saddlebred endurance cross

Ina
Oh my, yes, 1/2 Arab/1/2 Saddlebreds are used for Endurance. My horse
that is listed in the standings as a 1/2 Arab is also 1/2 Saddlebred.
He is extremely tough. He glides over the trail, not jarring me to
death. He is bold and not overly spooky. He has excellent recoveries in
all weather and terrains. He is easy to handle while riding and not too
sprirted. I realize some of this is individual. He can be stubborn
and he can be hard to handle on the ground because he gets bored
standing in line to check in. He does not have extreme action. He is
DURABLE with over 6700 AERC miles ridden at all speeds, all distances,
and carrying my lightweight or my husbands heavyweight 240lbs. He is
always in the standings for yearend with AERC in the Midwest division
(first this year). Many of his traits I consider as coming from his
Saddlebred side as I have another horse by the same Arab sire without
any of the toughness or ability of this one.
