RC: RE: getting started

Hi Adrienne,

Welcome to Endurance! Yes, you and your TB can definately
compete in endurance. Glad you hear you two are having
fun. That's the most important part.

My TB also loves endurance, but his old off the track
injury keeps him home these days. I do miss him. I
was looking for a second TB, but the little Arab found
me instead. The arab definately has an easier time of
recovering and making the miles but the old TB wins out
for forward motion, working heartrates, and work ethic.
:) :) :)

Some TBs not only compete in endurance, but they can do
quite well. Our own Kris Olko frequently top tens on her
off the track TB mare, and there's a woman, Linda, in the
midwest who wins with her TB too, and she's made the standings
in the July Endurance News.

We're a bit far away from you in No. Cal, but hopefully
you've heard from endurance riders in your area. Start
slow and easy with those 5yo legs and welcome to Ridecamp!
