-- I am fascinated.  I had no idea so many horses were used in World War II.  
Amazing!  I kind of thought the old guy was simply out dated -- even back 
then.  My family history is rich with stories about my grandfather's love of 
horses and his dedication to them.  Everybody always teases me that this is 
where I got my "obsession" .  I'd love to hear more.  Also, the comparisons 
to modern day endurance riding are pretty astounding, aren't they?
