Re: Re: zebras & zorses

don't know... i sent an e-mail asking them.

here's what they said at the expo:

- she was completely untrained when they got it. in transit, she was in a
corral in Farmington, New Mexico, and a train came by in the middle of the
night and the Zorse tried to run thru the fence and had to be restrained in
a cattle shoot to have her face stitched. she looks ok now, though.
- she is sterile (pretty much what you'd expect).
- the trainer had to SLEEP in the pen with her for the first 3 days before
the Zorse had anything to do with him, then the third night she came and
layed right next to him. after that bonding, the Zorse has gotten to where
it runs up and down the fence looking for him and making Zorse noises when
he's gone.
- This Zorse makes noises are like shrill little screams sometimes. Not
like a horse or mule. Almost like a pig when they make a high pitched
squeal. I dunno... Hard to describe. It makes little soft noises other
times.
- She was definitely trainable. She did not bother the horses (tho they are
probably acclimated to seeing her around). He can ride her around pasture
and she's very sure-footed.
- She was bred in California. Doesn't she have that California 'tude?
