Re: zebras & zorses



Pat Parelli has a Zorse at his training camp right now.  Saw it last weekend
at an expo there.  Here are my digital pics of the critter.

It looked like a bit of a training challenge.  It did pretty well with the
rider on.  It didn't steer as well as the horses, and it tried to give one
of the horses a good kick that nudged into the back of it.  The Zorse rider
didn't look comfortable with the rough trot.

At one point, they had 7 horses (6 horses, 1 Zorse) in the 100' round pen,
they turned them all loose and had the handlers stand in the middle.  They
got them all galloping around at liberty, then each handler called his/her
horse in one at a time.  The Zorse came in to it's handler as easily as any
of the horses.  Circus-y, but impressive.  The Zorse really stole the show.

I bet geneticists give us that color gene in a horse in the future...
