Marciente saddle question

Hi, 

A marciente saddle just sorta fell into my lap after a search for a
saddle for my young endurance horse. It seems to fit pretty well - I am
going to ride in it this week. The question that I have is about the
marciente saddle - how do you all like them?
 Anything to look out for?
 Are they a balanced ride saddle? 
 Can these saddles be modified if the horse changes shape?
 The number on the saddle is 103 - is that a model number?

 I rode my older horse, Elvis, in an english saddle so I am not as
familar with the western rigged saddles.
