RE:horses & chickens

Boy, if you are lucky enough to get all hens out a batch of chicks, you have
better luck than I do. We usually end up with more roosters than hens when
ours "hatch a batch". We have never had problems with chickens in the barn,
and they also help keep the flies down. I will forward your question to a
friend who is studying to be a poultry vet at UC Davis, and is also a horse
person. She can let us know in vets terms if any problems exist in
coexistence in the barn of chickens & horses.
Jonni in Cal. where the neighbors chickens have hatched about 25 new chicks
in the last month....in our yard!
