I consider it UNSAFE to tie to trailer all night...not to mention unfair
to horse. If you leave his rope long enough to lie down, he can get
caught under trailer. (Among other problems).
I have a stallion who gets out of EVERYTHING except a neck rope...picket
lines work great for him. I had a "horsemanship" judge take off points
for not having a slip-knot on my stallion (who will untie it and roam for
his "pleasure". Now WHAT IS HORSEMANSHIP?
I have also had points knocked off for clipping fetlock hair (I do it
cause it prevents scratches).
Hire horsemanship judges with brains...that's the answer...or at least
ones that will ask you WHY you do what you do.
