Fort Howes Ride

We just returned last night from the Fort Howes Ride in Ashland Montana.
Bill and Jan Stevens have put on another great ride! The scenery is
stunning to us flatlanders from North Dakota. The trail was well marked,
the steak dinner was delicious, wonderful awards and even the weather was
perfect! 
I rode the 25 mile LD and my horse Elegant came through great. All A's on
the last check. I was so pleased with him, since we don't have a lot of
hills to train in, it didn't seem to bother him at all. Now I am playing
with the thought of doing my first 50 in 2 weeks at Sandcreek in Jordan Mt.
I hope we are ready!
It was fun to meet riders from other parts of the country and to put faces
to the names I read on ridecamp.
Thanks again to Bill and Jan Stevens! We will be back next year!
