I have excellent results by just cutting off the tip of the syring , even
with the bottom, and then enlarging the hole in the bottom of the syring  a
little.  Then I use a pill crusher  I bought cheap at Wall Mart, crush the
pills, put  in syring, add what ever fluid and shake.  Works like a dream..
Leared this from my vet.  Thats how they do it.  Don't forget to put a
finger over the hole.  Duh learnd from experience. :-)   Hopes this helps.
