The thread on Bits and Bitting has been VERY interesting.

Can someone explain the difference in riding with a Hackamore
vs a Fullcheek Snaffle?

Does it take a lot of training to convert the horse to a Hackamore. 
I'm all for more training and like the idea of getting the bit out of his 
mouth if it doesn't mean less control.
