Dura*Kold Ice Boots

It was finally warm enough this weekend that I had a chance to use my new
DuraKold ice boots for the first time.  I really liked the results, but I
have a question for experienced users.  Do you always use all 4 pillow
inserts?


Because I had a little mishap with my frig (ran out of propane--long story),
only 6 of the 8
gel packs were frozen.  So I inserted all 4 in one boot and only 2 in the
other.  It may have been my imagination, but I thought the boot with only 2
inserts (the middle pockets) fit better and kept the leg
colder.  I was happy with the results on both legs.  Thorn had no filling
whatsoever after a very rocky 50-miler that had to be hard on legs.
