Re: RC: Re: Long Shanked mechanical hackamores

I've been listening to this and have to agree...no bit will ever compensate
for training. So this is a major ME TOO....you can put the most severe bit
in your horses mouth and not accomplish anything without the proper training.

I ride in a "s" hackamore on one of the more spirited horses...People are
amazed. I'm working on getting to the halter...can't wait to see their faces
then.

Nothing will control your horse like proper training. I'm taking the year
off of competition to work on problems that my horse has. I would rather
take the year off than face them again next year.

A summer off of competition is nothing compared to the life time I could be
dealing with our problems. In fact, I've met several people on the trail who
are doing the same thing that I am...taking the year off and working with the
problem horse.

How significant is 6 months compared to 6 years of problems???

Diane & Phoenix (thank god, I don't have a bit)
