I'm a newbie, and I've appreciated much of the info you provided.

My own experience is that, if what I'm writing may be at all controversial,
I should write it and then let it sit for a while.  Sometimes, when I
re-read what I've written, I decide that I need to change the tone -- or
even the content -- a bit.

So don't go away.  Just re-think your messages and keep in mind that we
Ridecampers are extremely independent and don't take well to what sounds
like "laying down the law."
