I have also boarded horses occasionally and have found that most of the problems are worked out without bloodshed. Sometimes their problems are resolved with a slight flick of an ear, and sometimes, it took a little more. There were 2 dominant geldings, however, that never did work out their differences and eventually I had to quit boarding one of them. Peggy >>> <ridecamp@endurance.net> 01/13 9:51 AM >>> I NEVER put my two geldings together in a restricted area, (with close corners to be trapped in). I will turn them out in a large pasture (10 acres +) To me with all the problems I have heard of I figure it is cheap insurance. I do turn the youngsters together in the corrals but even my small corrals are larger than lots of pastures. I had a good friend who lost a horse to a broken leg when kicked by a mare in a pasture so I know the larger area doesn't totally prevent problems. The other thing I do is keep the "Barracuda" by himself at all times. Lovell
