hackamores

We've got a friend who was teaching a 4-H class about horse gear.  She
was trying to explain to the kids how severe a hackamore could be, even
tho there wasn't anything in the horse's mouth.  She put the horse into
an easy canter down the arena and was going to demo a quick stop.  The
horse not only stopped, he went over backwards.

Moral of this story:  A hackamore can stop a horse.  Lif
