As Jan points out, there is more than one way of using a crop.  My original
post was merely to point out that it is all to easy to hit a horse rather
than deal with a situation if that crop is right there to use and the holder
of the crop is not disciplined.  I am not opposed to tool use.  Just the
right use.  Lif
