drugs and additives

It seems to becoming increasingly common for manufacturers
to put "extra"
substances into their products. Even though they are listed
in the "fine
print", I object to this.; I want to know what is there and
why.

US labeling practices are inhuman.; I do not know what 75%
of the
"substances" are from the unintelligible names they give
them, nor do I
know WHY they are there. For instance - "whole wheat
bread"...read
the label...how many actually contain the entire grain of
wheat?
Most do NOT. How about "enriched" bread and pasta? No thank
you, I want to chose my own additives..not their long list
of "nutrients"
THEY think we need.

My last pet peeve is "childproof" caps on all kind of
packaging.
They can be impossible for me at times. Some let us have
choices.
I believe WE should ALWAYS have the choices.

Just another sign of "Big Brother" looking over and "taking
care" of
our needs.

No Thanks, it is MY life and MY decisions. (Like seat belts
and helmets
-NO, I am NOT trying to start another heated discussion!!!)

The WORST part is that the doctors/vets and other who
administer these
products think it's just fine and not only accept this, but
are not given
the education to know just what the ramifications can be.
Just like
horse owners who think some bute here and there won't hurt
without knowing
what it can and will do in the long run.

A good example is the addition of Magnesium Oxide to
electrolytes.
While I will not argue the fact the horses need more
magnesium, but this
form of it is USELESS to the horse.

Slowly, but surely, we are being brainwashed as a nation. To
save
yourself and those around you, the only solution is to be
informed and
NOT to "accept" everything that comes along.

Remember: Believe only what you KNOW, not what you read or
hear.
