feeding before a ride.

from Mary..  I never feed grain on the morning of a ride unless its a
multiday. I sometimes don't feed it the night before either.  Many of the
problems people have with their horses could be avoided this way I think.
One horse I have is a nutcase if he has any grain at all after Wed. night
before a ride. Without it he just goes straight down the trail without a
problem.  During the ride I give some with bran mash and it gets burned off
as we ride.  Hope this helps.
