I dunno, Glenda, my 10 month old colt went completely and totally berzerk
when he heard my Wahl cordless clippers for the first time. I turned them on
at the barn to put them in blade wash (Chance was tied to a sturdy tree,
thank God) and he turned into the Tazmanian Devil, just hearing the clippers
in the distance. I have only had experience with imprint trained babies
prior to this little guy and whoo boy, what a difference! I'm STILL working
on the clipper agenda with this guy (you should see him, he looks like he's
survived a bad day at the barber shop). He now will let me touch him with
the clippers for a few seconds, and then kablewy we're off again.
Considering that he was basically a thoroughly wild thing 4 months ago, we're
not doing so badly. I'm just using the slowwwwww approach, clip a few hairs,
have a positive experience, then quit (it's not pretty, but it's working).
As far as the Wahl vs. Oster debate goes, I'm pretty sure if I fired up my
Oster Body Clippers you guys would all see the mushroom cloud over Santa
Ynez, CA!

Sylvia & Chance (what the heck are you doing?)
