 In a word. NO. If your horse did'nt need pads before-hand, after a

season of silicone packed pads, he will. The silicone keeps the

sole in a constant sweat, and turns it and the frog to mush.

  The good 'ol fashioned Pine Tar & Oakum works just fine.

   Or, I suppose, you could use panties !!!
