Re: 99F350 trucks
I've had my 99F350 4 x 4 PowerStroke for a year and 13,000 miles, most of
that hauling a 3 horse living quarters over mountains and I'm seriously in
love with it. I have a manual transmission with a granny gear (6 forward
speeds) and it's an amazingly powerful truck. Have had it on very steep
winding narrow mountain roads (with horse & trailer) and it has all the
power it needs to chug up. The suspension is stock and it handles the 1 ton
"tongue" weight on the bed just great. I recently hauled over 4000 lbs. of
sand and it still performed like a champ. That was an overload and I didn't
intend to get that much but the loader was being a smartass. I've been VERY
pleased with this truck and don't hesitate to recommend it if you're hauling
heavy loads.
