Saddle fit advice

Hi everyone. You guys have helped me with a couple of things so I
thought I'd ask for some more advice. Anyway, I have a black cordura Abetta
endurance saddle which I love! But, I don't think it fits my arab anymore.
The first sign was, (and all these signs are not like her) she would turn her
head away from me when I would start to mount, and she would look at her
right side. Second, she would break away from the trailer when saddled.
(remember that one?) When mounted, she would back in circles. Now, when
saddled, she'd back in circles in the stall. She flipped in her crossties
last Sat. when saddled. She stands strangely, her left front foot forward,
her left back foot back, her right front foot back and her right back foot
forward. Can you figure that out? She paces side to side when saddled and
acts scared.
I rode her a couple of times after longing her (never had to do that before)
and she behaved ok with no backing. Her way of going is good. I massaged her
back for sore spots but found none. Her saddle is very lightweight and I use
a pad about 1/2 inch thick.
Does anyone have any ideas? Could it be the saddle? Should I use a thinner
pad? This has been going on for 4 weeks now. Thank you in advance. Deb
P.S. This saddle will be for sale if I need to buy another one. There is
nothing wrong with it. No tears. Looks new.
