Mountainside/Whiskytow Ride)

Good Morning --

Thought I 'd just take a minute because our computer lines have been
really dysfunctional the last week and have erased messages, didn't send
them, etc. I had aa couple of posts to answer about the
Mountainside/Whiskytown Ride so I will just answer them here.

The weather promises to be wonderful! Cooling down a bit--predicted in
the 76 to 80 daytime temperatures a.m., 50's and 60's at night.

The ride used to be classified as "moderately hard" but I have been
told(I think there is still snow at the 6 or 7 thousand foot areas) that
it was going to be mainly at the lower trails this year which will not
be as hard a climb. It is a beautiful ride, mostly on trails above
Whiskytown Lake, 8 miles out of Redding, Ca.

The camp can get crowded if it turns into a big ride, so it might be
good to get there as soon as you can on Friday.

As I said before, The Red Bluff Round-up also takes place this Fri, Sat,
and Sun. leading to lots of traffic in horse-trailers! Have a great
ride!

Maureen
